Interfacing

AusFleet operates two types of interfaces:

• Application interfaces e.g. to finance, payroll, personnel systems
• Supplier interfaces e.g. to import, validate and post fuel, toll, insurance transactions

Supplier interfaces are provided in the Fuel, Annual Renewals (insurance, CTP, Registration etc) and eTag modules. The supplier file is imported and validated before successful transactions are posted to the fleet item. In Fuel module for example, each record is validated up to 15 times and any suspended records are highlighted with a reason and suggested course of action.

Annual Renewals module is particularly useful where common expiry dates are applied. 

Application interfaces are designed individually for each client using the Interface module. Records can be shared between applications to avoid double data entry and maintain integrity.

Data may be exchanged on a batch basis using flat files or dynamically using "triggers". An interface can also be used to share reference file information. For example, when selecting a member of staff in AusFleet, the menu can display the record from the finance or payroll system. This avoids having to maintain two sets of personnel files.
