Letter from CEO

Josh Crompton

CEO, AusFleet

It’s hard to believe it has been over a year since the last time we published the AusFleet Newsletter. A small hiatus to get our house in order and re-focus on what our customers have told us is important. We hope you enjoyed the new format.

It’s now been over two years since I stepped into the business. I’d like to take a moment to acknowledge Howard Crompton, who led AusFleet for over 20 years and built the strong foundation we continue to grow. On a personal note, this period has also included the passing of my father, David Crompton — an influence on both my life and career and which makes the progress we’ve achieved as a team even more meaningful.

Since coming on board, here at AusFleet we’ve focused on building capability, both in our people and our platform. We’ve welcomed Yarek Kowalik as our new Chief Technology Officer, ex Microsoft and bringing strong technical leadership, alongside Natalie Nakazono leading Release and Delivery who also brings a pedigree of over 20 years of SaaS deployment expertise, and Abhilash Manager, many of our customer would have engaged with already and is strengthening our support team as Senior Support Consultant. Additionally, Justin Ray, joined earlier this year and is moving into a Customer Relationship Manager role to support our customers.

We’ve also expanded our development capability with new developer’s, specialist API developers and Mobile App Developers to continue to expand and improve our product to meet the needs of our customers. This investment is already delivering results with significant technology uplifts across our mobile and web applications, improved usability, scalability, and performance.

At the same time, we’re pleased to welcome new customers including Royal Automative Association of South Australia, WM Waste Management, Camden Council, Colac Shire Council, the City of Perth, Richmond Shire Council, Barcaldine Regional Council and Albany Council — organisations that reinforce our commitment to supporting both commercial and local government fleets across Australia.

Partnerships remain my key focus. Our work with Insight Telematics continues to drive strong outcomes, through deeper integrations with Geotab. We’re also strengthening connections across the broader ecosystem of partners such as KeyWatcher and Teletrac Navman, ensuring AusFleet fits seamlessly into our customer fleet apps landscape.

From a product perspective, we continue to invest heavily in development. Recent highlights include the new Workshop and Fleet Dashboard, now available to all customers whom use our API. We are continuing to lean into improved dashboarding to unlock data insight to support better decision making.  Additionally, AusFleet Data Match — released in April, integrates with multiple third-party providers and enriches fleet records with up to 30 additional fleet attributes and OEM servicing data across light, passenger, and trucks. Helping to enrich customer data and improve overall data quality. Other developments include introduction of QR Codes, FBT overhaul, expansion of our API, Integration to Document Management tools (such as TRIM), reporting Improvements, new workshop status report, new hire booking calendar and so so much more.

Looking ahead, AusFleet “version 10” is on track for release later this year, bringing further function and, performance improvements across the platform.

While we’re proud of what we’ve achieved, it genuinely feels like we’re only just getting started. Thank you to our customers and partners for your continued support and for being part of the AusFleet journey. I remain deeply committed to staying customer-focused in everything we do.

We encourage you to explore the latest features, engage with our team, and share your feedback—your insights continue to shape the future direction of AusFleet.

Josh Crompton
